About
- Fanlistings. Fanlistings are the creation of Janine who owns thefanlistings.org. She originally wanted to see exactly how many Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans are out there and so created a fanlisting for it. It is a place where fans of a certain film/actor/actress/etc. join to show that they are a fan. For more information visit thefanlistings.org. This site is officially approved by The Fanlistings Network. - Come What May Come What May is the song that Christian writes for Satine so that whatever is happening, one of them can sing the song and the other will know that their love is still strong. He inserts the song into the play within the movie as the lovers' secret song. The song is performed twice in the movie, first over a montage of scenes including Christian suggesting the idea of a secret song to Satine, rehearsals for the play, and various other scenes of Christian and Satine together either alone or with The Duke. The second performance comes near the end of the movie during the actual performance of the play when Satine sings it to Christian to prove that she still loves him and he returns to her. This time, the song is combined with several other songs from the movie in a sort of grand finale medley. :) Come What May was written by David Baerwald. On the Moulin Rouge soundtrack it is performed by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor and was produced by David Foster. The song was originally written for Baz Luhrmann's 1996 movie Romeo + Juliet, but was not used in that film, which is why despite being the only original song in Moulin Rouge, it was not eligible to be nominated for an Oscar in 2001: only songs written specifically for the movie they appear in can be nominated. Bummer! The song appears on both volume 1 and volume 2 of the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. The version on volume 1 is a remixed version which does not appear in the film but is more "radio-friendly," so to speak, than either of the movie versions. The version on volume 1 is the first performance of the song in the movie. The lyrics below are to the volume 1 version. There's also another version, the 'Josh G. Abraham dance remix', not on the CDS but enjoyable by watching the Come What May featured on the 2 discs DVD. - Lyrics Never knew I could feel like this Come what may Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place Come what may Oh, come what may, come what may Come what may Thanks to Meaghan for this page's content! |
